What do I need to know about the COVID-19 vaccine regulation issued by CMS?
CMS has issued revised guidance on staff vaccination requirements that outline facility expectations and consequences for noncompliance. Since early 2022, most providers surveyed have been found to be in compliance with the requirement. Medicare and Medicaid-certified facilities are expected to comply with requirements and may be subject to a variety of terms including monetary penalties, denial of payments, and finally termination of participation in the programs if compliance is not achieved. Facility staff vaccination rates under 100% constitute noncompliance under the rule. Guidance for long-term care and skilled nursing facilities outlines that the first dose of the primary vaccination series or a single-dose vaccine should be received by staff prior to providing care or service.
Covid Pay/Hazard Pay
If you are assigned to work in a COVID unit you will receive COVID pay. Please indicate on your timesheet if you worked in a COVID unit and our coordinators will verify.
Exemptions
If you have a medical or religious exemption for the COVID-19 vaccine, please contact your recruiter to complete any necessary documents.
Will I need to get the COVID-19 vaccine?
CMS has issued guidance about staff vaccination requirements and compliance with these rules which asks Medicare and Medicaid-certified facilities to comply. Please speak with your recruiter or staffing coordinator for more information about building specific requirements.
Next Day Pay with Rain
Who is "Rain" and what service do they provide?
Rain is a financial wellness benefit offered by Elite Medical Staffing. Through the Rain app, employees can access their earned wages before their regularly scheduled payday.
How does Rain work?
Through the Rain App, employees make a request to receive up to 50% of their earned wages before their scheduled payday. The amount of advanced pay is then deducted from the employee’s next paycheck. The pay advance is not deemed a loan and no interest is assessed.
Is Rain a loan?
Rain is not a loan, and there are no fees other than the small advancement fee of $3.99 for instant transfers. There is no interest. The money advanced from Rain is the money that an employee has earned at work. Anything advanced will be deducted from the employee’s next paycheck.
Where do earned wages come from?
Elite Medical Staffing signed up for Rain, so that employees can access wages from the Rain app. Earned wage information comes directly from Elite Medical Staffing. Employees will see earned wages in the Rain app within 1 business day of a completed shift.
Why has Elite Medical Staffing partnered with Rain?
When the immediate need for funds occurs between paychecks, Rain can provide employees with alternatives to high interest rate payday loans and high overdraft fees.
How does Rain transfer pay advance funds to employees and what is the cost?
-ACH transfer to any bank account (1-3 business days): FREE
-Instant transfer to an external debit card: $3.99 fee per transfer
-Fee is adjusted from the next paycheck, not the transfer
Who is eligible to participate in Rain?
Rain is available to all contingent Elite Medical Staffing employees. Please note: employees on leave of absence will not be eligible for Rain until they have returned to active status.
Is the amount that is eligible for a pay advance ("eligible pay") calculated the same way for hourly and salaried employees?
Cash balances in the app are always calculated based on the employee’s hourly wage rate
How soon after an (hourly) employee’s shift will Rain be notified of the employee’s punches?
Rain receives employee’s punch data multiple times per day, and the Rain app will reflect a balance of pay that can be advanced. Therefore, wages will be reflected in the Rain app within 1 business day of the employee’s shift ending.
If payday arrives and my payroll deductions and tax withholdings exceed the total amount I have advanced, what happens to my Elite Medical Staffing paycheck and what happens to my account with Rain?
In this scenario, your net pay with Elite Medical Staffing would be zero for that pay date and you will be placed into an "arrears" status with Rain. Rain would then flag the account as “paused.” Elite Medical Staffing only allows an advancement of 50% of earned wages to protect the employee from having a $0 paycheck.
How will the Rain advance appear on my pay stub?
The total amount transferred during each pay period will be shown as a separate line-item deduction with the code “RAI”.
How do I get started with Rain?
Download the free "Rain Instant Pay" App from the Apple App Store or Google Play store. Create an account and select "Elite Medical Staffing" as your employer. Use the email address and phone number that matches your payroll profile with Elite Medical Staffing.
How to update your contact information with Elite Medical Staffing to power my Rain app?
You may need to log into ADP WorkforceNow account to update your contact information if Rain is unable to validate you are a current employee.
To do this, go to https://workforcenow.adp.com/workforcenow/login.html and enter your username and password if you already have an account. If you need to create an account, use your Personal Registration Code or PRC that was emailed to you around the time you started working with Elite (these expire 15 days after being issued). If you need a new PRC, text your Staffing Coordinator or reach out to HR to have one reissued. If you have created an account and forgot your login credentials, please select “forgot password” and recover your login.
Once you are logged in to ADP, in the desktop site, navigate to Myself > My Information > Profile. In the mobile app, click the circle with your initials in the upper left corner and select Profile. From this page, you can update your email address, phone number, and home address.
Be sure to text your Staffing Coordinator if you make any changes to this information so they can also update our staffing platforms to make sure you don’t miss any important announcements!
Are Elite Medical Staffing employees required to participate in Rain?
No. Rain is a voluntary optional benefit. If you do not wish to participate, no action is needed.
How do I cancel my enrollment in Rain if I decide to no longer participate?
Rain complies with all consumer protection guidelines, including the requirement to delete customer information at the user's request. There are 2 ways to end your enrollment in Rain:
- Remove the link to your debit card and/or banking information and delete the app from your phone.
- Contact Rain directly and request deletion of your account and your personal information.
