Job Description
This is a full-time salaried position. The hours are weekdays, Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm. The Human Resources Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department.
Responsibilities
May assist with payroll functions including, answering employee questions, fixing errors, and entering new
employees into ADP.
Performs other duties as assigned
Administrative & Recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate and updated HR records with integrity and confidentiality
- Perform periodic audits of HR records to ensure completion and compliance with regulatory standards
- Run regular reports to maintain accurate information for all staff
- Provide clerical support to the HR department
- Verify employment and income for employees as requested including clinical license renewals
- Assist with payroll functions, including answering employee questions, fixing errors, entering new employees into HRIS/payroll system, and processing garnishments
- Assist with end-of-year projects and open enrollment**
- Notarize documents for staff as needed, primarily for state background checks and clinical licenses
- Support on benefits transactions including answering questions, collecting documentation, etc. **
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies supporting documentation, runs E-Verify cases, troubleshoots issues as needed, and maintains I-9 files
- Scans and saves documents appropriately and processes incoming and outgoing mail
- Answer inquiries and requests from outside parties regarding employment verifications, garnishments, subpoenas, or other requested information
Employee Relations
- Answer phone calls and emails with frequently asked questions from employees and applicants regarding standard policies, benefits, payroll, etc.
- Assists with processing of terminating clinical staff including sending separation letters and required state notices
- Assists with documenting performance issues and/or policy violations for clinical staff
HRIS & Reporting
- Assists with benefits premium invoice reconciliation
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action as needed
Unemployment & Workers’ Compensation
- Serve as the point of contact between the vendor and the employee for work comp claims
- File workers’ compensation claims with carrier upon reporting from the injured worker
- Responding to requests for information from state unemployment agencies and protesting decisions as appropriate
Employee Experience
- Create and distribute monthly employee engagement calendar celebrating birthdays, work anniversaries, holidays, and activities
- Supports internal recruiting function including sourcing, evaluating, screening, and maintaining correspondence with candidates as well as making recommendations to hiring managers and processing new hire onboarding/background checks/drug screens

Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- General knowledge of employment law and best practices
- Notary public preferred but not required (training & certification can be provided upon hire)
Preferred Experience:
- 1+ years in HR preferred.
