This position will pay $22/Hour for DCA/Caregiver.

Requirements: We are seeking compassionate and qualified Direct Care Staff to join our team. Applicants must meet the following state-mandated requirements as outlined in 22VAC40-73-200:

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older (unless certified as a Nurse Aide in Virginia).

• Must provide care within scope of training and practice, especially when serving residents with special health care needs.

Training & Certification (must meet one of the following within 2 months of hire unless already licensed):

1. Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) by the Virginia Board of Nursing, or

2. Completed a Virginia Board of Nursing-approved nurse aide education program, or

3. Completed a nursing education program (RN or LPN track), or

4. Currently enrolled in a nursing program (RN/LPN) and completed at least one clinical course with 40+ hours of direct care, or

5. Completed a Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services-approved personal care aide program, or

6. Completed a geriatric assistant, home health aide, or nurse aide program (in- or out-of-state) approved by the Department, or

7. Completed a department-approved 40-hour direct care training taught by an RN or LPN, or

8. If employed prior to Feb 1, 2018 and only cared for residential-level residents, must complete approved training by Jan 31, 2019.

• Additional Requirements:
• Must provide documentation or certification verifying qualifications.
• Staff not yet meeting requirements must be under supervision per a written plan developed by the Administrator.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States 
• 1 year previous experience working under active license
• Willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• Willing to take a drug test in accordance with local law/regulations and federal guidelines 
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds
• Maintain consistent attendance; punctual for scheduled shifts
