Celebrate World Health Day With Elite Medical Staffing
Today is World Health Day and the 75th anniversary of the World Health Organization. This year’s theme, “Health For All,” envisions that all people have good health for a fulfilling life in a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world. There are plenty of ways we, as individuals, can contribute to support this cause. Even just taking the first steps to healthy living can have a positive influence!
Caring for your physical and mental health can be incredibly difficult, but it is a massively rewarding journey. Not only does this benefit you, but you also influence the people and community around you. Studies have shown that friends and family are the biggest influences on our health, and being a positive example can go a long way to helping others on their journey toward healthy living!
There are plenty of other ways to work towards “Health For All” outside of your own circle as well. Engaging with schools, local leaders, organizations & other pillars of your community to lead healthy activities like walks, marathons, art competitions & more. These can start the conversation about your community’s health needs and move them towards healthy eating and physical activity.
“Health For All” is vital in our long-term care industry, where various issues like the staffing crisis, low funding, & nursing shortage are affecting the ability of people to receive the care and treatment they deserve. Reaching out to your local & nationally elected government officials and requesting more investment into strong health systems and the nursing field is one way to help. On the other hand, you can take a more direct approach and look for volunteer opportunities in your own community!
Healthy living and “Health For All” is not something one person can accomplish by simply signing a check. Everyone must contribute what they can to achieve these goals, from government leaders down to your friend group. Everyone can contribute in their own way!
