At Elite Medical Staffing, we take the health of our clients, coworkers, and our company atmosphere seriously. We are constantly striving to improve not only the health of our working environment, but also the state of the planet. This month, we are excited to have the opportunity to take part in World Health Day, founded by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948. Every year on April 7th, WHO organizes World Health Day with a different theme that highlights a trending or current concern the world faces. This year, WHO is drawing attention to a worldwide issue: the health of our planet.
No matter who you are, the concern for our planet’s health affects you, your job, and the quality of life you and future generations will experience. Elite Medical Staffing is excited to be a part of such an important issue, and we are taking several steps to do our part in enhancing the health of our Earth.
What Can You Do to Help?
To improve the condition of our planet, there are many steps we can take as individuals. If you want to participate in World Health Day, there are several changes you can make in your day-to-day life.
Share your story and experience of reducing your carbon footprint and educate others on the condition of our climate
Reduce driving by walking or biking when possible
Use renewable energy when you have the opportunity
Buy your groceries and produce from local businesses and avoid packaged and processed foods
Buy less plastic and use reusable bags and water bottles
Health Workers & Facilities Can Do Their Part
Elite Medical Staffing is set in a medical atmosphere, and our health care workers make it their mission to continuously enhance the health of their workplace and one another. Whether you’re a health care worker or work in a medical facility, there are steps you and your company can take to improve the health of your environment, ultimately improving the health of the planet. When we work together, we can work towards a brighter and healthier future for us all. Here are a few ways that health workers and medical facilities can take part in World Health Day:
Reduce health care waste
Save energy at every opportunity, especially as a company
Reduce packaging in food and support local businesses
Ensure safe and clean water
Purchase environmentally safe and biodegradable products, specifically cleaning products
Advocate for improvements in climate change policies
Climate change is an issue that we all face and requires each one of us to do our part to improve our planet. Elite Medical Staffing is doing our part to make a change and we hope you participate in World Health Day on April 7th and every day after.
